On Thursday Wily will be released.

Currently we are testing the Release Candidate.

If you are expecting to be upgrading to Wily - and don't forget that
Vivid is only supported until January - then doing so now

  * helps Xubuntu
  * you miss the rush at the end of the week and the 'is it out yet'
    question

We report install and upgrade tests so that *we* know the state of play.

As it stands now, we have 1 report of an issue with swap creation. 2
further issues bug 1495943
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1495943> and 149170
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-utils/+bug/1497170> are
present on the current build, but an upgrade after install sees them
both fixed. We expect the image to be rebuilt in the next day or so at
which point they should have
gone.<https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-utils/+bug/1497170>

Further information can be seen on the DRAFT
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WilyWerewolf/FinalRelease/Xubuntu> release note
- this changes as we see issues reported, both for us specifically and
generally for any issues in all the flavours.

For upgrade tests you can choose between doing so with an image or with

These links are current - rebuilds happen, when they do the previous
links are archived, current and live testing for Upgrades and Xubuntu
can be found at the tracker <http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker>

Once you have upgraded or installed then update as you would normally
do, and you will have the release.
