I'm afraid not: CUPS has rather poor interfaces on most platforms (even
Macs), and setting up a new printer is often painful. Its
error-reporting and diagnostics for the end-user are also not great.
It looks like you have done everything right so far, but
a. Make sure CUPS and samba are installed and running
$ sudo service samba status
* nmbd is running
* smbd is running
$ sudo service cups status
cups start/running, process 3245
$

b. What did you click on to get this menu?
I don't know the Mint variant interfaces, but usually you have to run
the Settings program and pick Printers first. But maybe Min has a
separate Add Printer menu...
c. You can check to see what you have done by opening your browser and
using CUPS's web interface:
http://localhost:631
Maybe that will have a clue about what's happening.
d. Failing that, I'm afraid all you can do is check the logs in
/var/log/cups and /var/log/samba
