BUT, I did not find it installed on Xubuntu 12.04. So, how / where to get
Boot-Repair?

This looks just what I've been looking for. I've lost the ability to (dual)
boot Win-7 on my desktop PC. I also have a netbook which had Win-7 on it. I
shrunk the partition and copied it to new partitions created on an SSD.
Replaced the HD with the SSD. Lost the ability to boot Win. Do have Xubuntu
running from a new partition. SO, I'll try this.

Concern: the extended discussion of creating bootable thumb drives on this
discussion list. The alternative approaches suggested at the above web site
might save some pain and suffering with thumb drives that won't boot.
