[xubuntu-users] HDMI Connection to Screen in Xubuntu 14.04

Hi,

This works OK in Windows 7 dual boot on my laptop but problem in Xubuntu
14.04. I connect from laptop to monitor screen with HDMI cable and
whatever happens on the laptop screen will also happen on the separate
monitor screen that it's connected to, again works OK w/Win7.

With Xubuntu the wallpaper or background of my desktop shows on the
separate screen but no open windows or any other activity shows up.
Cursor doesn't show, nothing just the background. According to lspci I
have: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G84GLM
[Quadro FX 1600M] (rev a1).  Nvidia driver: 331.113.

It would be nice to have this work in Xubuntu, is there a way?
