[xubuntu-users] Can Not Change Power Settings on 14.04 laptop

Hi,

Using Xubuntu 14.04 on my laptop.

When I close the lid of the laptop it goes to sleep. The power button
blinks, the opened screen is black. I hit the power button and am
prompted for password and then the desktop comes back.

I want when I close the lid for nothing - not a thing - to happen other
then the screen turning off because of the hardware button all laptops
seem to have.

I've tried all the settings in the power options to do it on AC,
battery. Nothing seems to work. Any help appreciated.
