[xubuntu-users] Flash drive suddenly needs authentication for mount

This happened a week or so ago on my work desktop, now it's happening
on my home desktop.

Xubuntu 14.04.1

I plug in my flash drive and get the root authentication window
instead of the drive just mounting.

What changed and how do I fix it?
