Steve, I am suspecting an artifact.  Can you create a new user and see 
if it appears with the new user? This would tell me if it is your user 
config or system.  I am assuming this is not a dual boot but rather just 
a session preference between xfce and openbox for desktop choice.  Is 
this correct?
