[xubuntu-users] Xubuntu 14.04 , Chrome, Chromium and Java

Hello,

I recently installed Xubuntu 14.04 successfully.
After that, I installed the Icedtea-plugin and openJdk packages, and tested
in both Firefox, Chrome and Chromium that Java worked.

Now suddenly the plugin is no longer registered inside either Chrome or
Chromium.
Now I could use Firefox, but I've found out that it's very unstable - why I
don't know - but every now and then, it just freezes up my computer - so
Firefox is really not an option right now. Besides, I prefer using Chrome
and Chromium.

Do you have any ideas how to fix the plugin-registration issue in either
Chrome or Chromium?
