[xubuntu-users] reCaptcha appears to get blocked

Hello all, here is a strange one and I don't know where to begin. I was
setting up a Moodle server, part of which involved user registration
utilizing reCaptcha. Have issues with the registration page, on
clicking submit, just refreshing the page with a new reCaptcha
challenge. This was pursued in the Moodle forums here:

https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=258871

The results were the server and software are not at fault. Doing
elimination tests I was left with it being a local issue (the OS?). The
server was eliminated by successfully registering a user from my phone
which removed the entire connection chain but the server. I then
connected my phone to my local wifi network and, again, successfully
registered a user. This eliminates the routers between my original
machine and the server. I disconnected the hard wire connection and
connected to the house ISP router directly via wifi and failed the
registration.

Next was browser tests to eliminate the possibility of software
failure. Firefox was the original function test browser, and once on
this track I tried registering on Chrome and failed I installed Midori
from the Software Center and failed there.

reCaptcha did function on another site I am working on so I am stumped.
Any ideas? The Moodle server is not using SSL yet SFAIK communications
should still be in and out on Port 80. Has anyone else had an issue
with reCaptcha on any other site?

Puzzled,
- Fred
