[xubuntu-users] 14.04 - going from strength to strength (but a question or two)

I must say I thought 13.10 was v.good and 14.04 is even better. The team have
once again made a release one of the best versions of xfce available.

There are a couple of things which I wonder about?
- I've found the LTS tends to have many updates in it's second year and apps
need updating that it's better to use the newer release.
- Bearing that in mind why was the intermediate release update period reduced
to 9 months instead of 18. One now has to use each intermediate release. I have
found the October release stable and I used to install that annually and miss
out the April one.
- I presume this is due to staff workload and if that's the case (and the above
points) would it not be in ubuntu interests to produce an annual version that
would allow more time for development & testing.
