same here.  I deal with introducing linux to under privileged community 
, via xubuntu, and the machines they have access to often don't boot usb 
which at that age means no dvd but cd.  The cure I end up with is 
burning a Plop cd which will find the usb thumbdrive for installation.

Handy tool.  Still wish there was a <700 mb version or will they release 
a net install iso Xubuntu?
