[xubuntu-users] Xubunu v-13.10 Daily Build in Oracle VirtualBox

I have installed the daily build of v-13.10 in Oracle VirtualBox
v-4.2.18r88780. The installation went well without any warnings or
errors as did the installation of the VB Guest Additions.

However when I attempt to access the shared folder, sf_C_Drive, the
system refuses the connection due to improper user permissions. The
shared folder has the permissions root vboxsf and the user has vboxsf
permission.

Now, I have successfully installed other Linux distros in VirtualBox
without any problems.  Obviously, I'm missing a critical step, but
don't have the faintest idea as to what.

Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Here is the file manager entry for the Host drive:

sf_C_DRIVE 12,288 drwxrwx--- root vboxsf

The user has been added to the vboxsf group.

I have not been able to change the permissions of the Host drive, even
as root using kksu emelFM2.

I've tried googling for the solution and can't seem to find anything
(that I can understand) that fixes the problem (I'm making what is a
wild assumption, at least for me) that this is a permissions problem.

I would really appreciate it if someone out there would take pity on a
poor old organic chemist and give me an understandable solution.

Thanks in advance.
