[xubuntu-users] Choosing the right/best version (release) of Xubuntu

Given that Xubuntu users often need to ask questions on Ubuntu mailing 
lists, does it stand to reason that Xubuntu is also not a good choice? 
Mint is ubuntu-based and, arguably, the majority of questions are Ubuntu 
related (as are the solutions) and *not* issues related to Mint (the 
same being true of Xubuntu in my experience).
