Hi Herold :)

Mint has got a small community, so people usually don't get help and
join the Debian and/or Ubuntu mailing lists without success, since Mint
is Mint and we can't help.

If you want to get rid from a real Windows install and your software
can't run on wine, I can recommend virtual box. Usually I only use Linux
and FreeBSD, but I need one software that is only available for Windows
and Mac, so I installed XP to a virtual machine and it works like a
charm. You can (you are not forced to do it this way) set up Virtual Box
to run Windows seamless on the Linux Desktop, e.g. have the Linux panel
at the top and the Windows panel on the bottom.
