I can't seem to get my system to recognize my Bluetooth dongle on startup.  This is preventing my hidd --search daemon from running.

Proof:

On startup I run:
# hcitool dev
Devices:
#

Then, I remove and add back into same usb slot:
# hcitool dev
Devices:
    hci0    xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
#

Why is this not being recognized when the dongle is in place during startup?  And how can I force it to be recognized?

Tim
