[xubuntu-users] Xubuntu very slow to open dirs

Hi,

Using latest Xubuntu version. When I try opening a directory (clicking
on a launcher or actual icon) , it will take so long that a dialog box
opens saying it can not open, but at about that time the folder
eventually opens. It's very slow. Is there any thing I can do to speed
thing things up? My PC is fast and has plenty of RAM, other OS's running
on it are pretty snappy...
