You seem to be a veritable resource of common sense Charlie. I bet that
idea could have saved me from some aggravation when I was first learning
the "names" of the apps I currently use often enough to be worth the
effort... Though in my case the sequence would be to open mc in an xterm,
cd to /usr/share/applications and look at the appropriate file with less or
vim depending on my mood. That way I avoid the frustration of dusting off
the rodent to deal with another gui app, just to do a text based task.
