[xubuntu-users] Could not find internet address

Hello Vincent,

I will try your suggestion. In the meanwhile I installed Xubuntu 8.10.
And again I saw a message mentioning a faulty network connection.

Since my Windows pc works perfectly with the static IP address 192.168
.2.100 I will try to enter this address into my laptop (with Xubuntu
8.10) and switch the network cable to the laptop.

I will keep you informed.

Have a nice weekend, Daan

P.S. Before Xubuntu I worked with Ubuntu. Xubuntu fits better to the
limited laptop hardware. Apart from the internet issue I like it. What
I do not understand is that time and date are derived from the
internet correctly. Strange isn't it?
