[xubuntu-users] New User : *running local boot scripts (/etc/rc.local) [ok]

Hi,
Used freeze just after Grub loading,
had to change xorg.conf, as graphics card wasn't picked up.
changed from Intel (motherboard vga) to ati PCi card, with vesa  driver.

Now can't seem to get beyond this point,
running local boot scripts (/etc/rc.local) [ok]

Previously this box ran Fedora8-Gnome no problems.

Trying Xubuntu for first time.

Recovery mode cannot connect to apt-get upgrade, cannot find the servers.
security.ubuntu.com, ie.archives.ubuntu.com
