If this problem occured in a fresh installed xubuntu I would say it's worth 
filling a bug report at launchpad. A description of the problem and how to 
solve it would be enough.

This might be a big help foor others who also are facing this problem.

German:
Falls dieses Problem bei einer frischen xubuntu Installation auftritt würde 
ich sagen es ist einen Fehlerreport auf launchpad Wert. Eine Beschreibung des 
Problemes und wie es zu lösen ist sollte ausreichen.

Das könnte für andere die vor demselben Problem stehen eine grosse Hilfe sein.
