[xubuntu-users] Transparency crash

Dear Helpers, 

I am a newbie.  Testing xubuntu (7.04) I activated the
transparency funtion at the settings Manager (window manager
tweaks?).  Unfortunately after 5 seconds everything hung.  After
restarting nothing was anymore on the desktop, wich is really
transparent!  No panel, no icons, nothing is to see there, but a
uniform grey screen.  How can I deactivate the transparency
function without using the UGI? May be running xubuntu in save
mode and editing a file?
