I did however try manually setting essid:
  sudo iwconfig eth1 essid linksys

And then ran
  sudo dhclient
It did not find dhcp server and did not acquire IP info.  So I
manually assigned IP info.
  sudo ifconfig eth1 192.168.1.29
And then tried to ping the WiFi router:
  ping 192.168.1.1

But nothing....
