[xubuntu-users] Xubuntu Feisty - Herd 3 install question

Hi All,

Last night I went to install Xubuntu 7.04 Herd 3 on a spare hard drive that
I have for testing, and (aside from the long time it took to detect hardware
- which I had read was a known bug) things were progressing fine until I
came to the stage of hard drive partitioning.

The partitioner showed my drives as sda and sdb instead of hda and hdb as
they did with Edgy Eft and all prior Xubuntu releases. Not wanting to fry
my hard drives, I aborted the installation. I mentioned this on #xubuntu on
IRC, and someone said that this new drive coding/setup is a new feature of
the installation, and is not a bug.

Does anyone have any background on this? Thanks!

Jim
