[xubuntu-users] Edgy to Feisty

As far as I know, you can only do a dist-upgrade from the alternate install
disk. If you are using the alternate install disk, you may still be prompted
to download files, because the disk only has updates for the programs that
come with the regular install, not for the programs that you installed by
yourself.

(scroll to the bottom):
