I couldn't disagree more. Why would we want to make Xubuntu like what an
OS released over 10 years ago should have been?

Xubuntu should be good for what it is, not because it tries to mimic
something else or works to please a specific group of people. We need to
go forward, not backward, to make Xubuntu better.
