Will do, am quite busy (doing AS-Level Work) but have already started a
wiki:
https://github.com/Joshun/xubuntu-wiki/wiki/Thunar-vs-PcmanFM

Some of Thunar's bugs include slow initial launch, and duplicate
entries. It also lacks some features such as tabbed browsing and
integrated desktop management, pcmanfm's gvfs integration seems more
reliable, and it has much faster start and browse times. Not sure how to
find about about translation support, will have to research that.

Dependencies are, for thunar:
libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.12.4), libc6 (>= 2.4), libcairo2 (>= 1.2.4),
libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.0.2), libdbus-glib-1-2 (>= 0.88), libexo-1-0 (>=
0.5.0), libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 (>= 2.22.0), libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.31.8),
libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.24.0), libgudev-1.0-0 (>= 147), libice6 (>= 1:1.0.0),
libnotify4 (>= 0.7.0), libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.14.0), libsm6, libthunarx-2-0
(>= 1.1.0), libxfce4ui-1-0 (>= 4.9.0), libxfce4util6 (>= 4.9.0),
thunar-data (= 1.4.0-1ubuntu2), desktop-file-utils, shared-mime-info,
exo-utils

Compared to just...
libc6 (>= 2.4), libcairo2 (>= 1.2.4), libfm-gtk3 (>= 1.0~rc1), libfm3
(>= 1.0~rc1), libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 (>= 2.22.0), libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.24.0),
libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.24.0), libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.20.0), libx11-6, libfm-gtk-bin
for pcmanfm. Would clearly save the disk image space.
