I am not the list administrator and so I cannot remove someone from
the list, but I do know how they can accomplish the task on their own.
 What you seem to be saying is that it is rude for me to try and help
someone in the only way I would be able to help them as another user
of the list.  Personally I think it is somewhat rude to withhold an
answer from someone just because the answer is not the best possible
solution.

I agree, better solutions should be possible, but I just don't see
harm in helping people help themselves.
