Trash, window-raising behaviour?

Yes, you can hold down the shift key while deleting the file, then it will
be deleted immediately and completely. For more details see the trash
specification at http://freedesktop.org, it might be possible to configure
it to do it automatically for some disks.

I had this problem too, but I knew there is a solution. After a lot of
searching and asking around I was directed to the xfce documentation that
is hidden in non-standard /usr/share/xfce4/doc/C, and there you can read:
