Including a splash screen

Jani,

I was wondering about Xfce splash screens.  We recently implemented one using
the balou theme engine (see mythbuntu-default-settings-0.59-0ubuntu1 for more
information).

Looking through the current Xubuntu source packages, I didn't see one configured
for you guys.  Any particular reason why not?

Would you be interested in custom splash screens based upon the mice engine?
One of our Mythbuntu guys is investigating the amount of effort involved to
create custom mice engine based splashes instead.  If its fairly
straightforward, for hardy I'll plan to make a source package for it that you
guys can adapt for Xubuntu too.
