Great news!

One thing I found to be strange was that once I performed the upgrade I went

Did you preserve your /home partition or something? I had this too but that
was because the theme I used during Edgy was not installed of course on a
clean Feisty install.

Also, I'm a bit reluctant as for upgrading the xserver, so I'm holding that
back now every time there is an update, as it has already crashed on me
twice.
