Same here on 2 machines (both Edgy -> one upgrade, one fresh install)
I (harold) am a member of the 'admin' group:
harold at DBWS439:~$ id
uid=1000(harold) gid=1000(harold)
groups=4(adm),20(dialout),24(cdrom),25(floppy),29(audio),30(dip),44(video),46(plugdev),107(lpadmin),111(scanner),113(admin),114(fuse),1000(harold)
harold at DBWS439:~$ cat /etc/group|grep adm
adm:x:4:harold
lpadmin:x:107:harold
admin:x:113:harold
harold at DBWS439:~$ ls -la `which network-admin`
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 104096 2006-10-02 17:05 /usr/bin/network-admin
Which group do I need to join to be able to launch the system tools from
the menu again?
