I believe a poll held on the Ubuntu forums would give a better idea of what
users want compared to a poll held on a development mailing list. People are
subscribed to this list because they're interested in the technical aspects
of this distro, and not all users are technical people.

A better question for the forum would be "Should Xubuntu become more
user-friendly at the expense of resource usage?" Because that seems to be
the issue here.
