Unfortunately, the kernel on the liveCD won't boot an Oldworld. I
believe the kernel on the Dapper alternate CD will, at least on my
PowerBook G3 ("Wallstreet").

Regardless of the kernel, the BootX arguments will be similar as they
are dependent on your hardware (the video arguments) and the
partitions on your hard drive (the root= argument).


The printer is slightly harder (though easy if you have been compiling
your own kernel!) -- you will need to insert the kernel module for Mac
serial ports. I'm not at my Mac right now so I can't tell you exactly
which one. If you can't find it write again and I'll find it.
