Hi

regarding the gimp splash I am not sure we need to bother much, While it is
a default app it can have it's own, or for hat matter
ubuntu's brown splash. It's too much work to make non-xfce apps blend into
xubuntu perfectly, the inherited gtk and icon themes
should be enough imho, without doing app specifc things. Especially since
these apps are not started by default or necessary for
most people's daily work.
