[Bug 445391] [NEW] Acrobat Reader is removed when upgrading Jaunty 64bit to Karmic

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: acroread

I had Acrobat Reader running fine in Jaunty, at upgrade time it was
removed without notice (other than within another few dozen packages
automatically removed, so went unnoticed).

Partner reporistory packages and/or packages that constitute complete
applications (other than libraries for example) should have a distinct
warning about their removal.

In this case I suspect Acroread 64bit is not available from partner repositories yet:

Packages such as this one being removed are an important regression for
anyone depending on them. Perhaps release notes should include a note
about this too.
