terribly sorry for the late response. i was offline for sometime.

no its Mozilla Thunderbird and not Sunbird.

i tried reinstalling it a number of times but i get the same thing
happening.

am quite new to Ubuntu so am not sure how i can call an application in
Terminal. however, when i type "thunderbird" in my Terminal i get
"Segmentation fault". kindly provide me with the appropriate command i
can run in terminal.
