I agree with you here but as far as I can see rsyslog is being used by
82 users. I have to say that there are not so many but still, we wouldn't
be happy if regressions pop up.

Well, the reason why I've said to synch, is because we would like to
don't increase the delta between Debian and Ubuntu.

There is no Ubuntu change in the package either.

What testing have you done with this new package?  Does it work well?
