As there has not been any change in hubackup regarding DVD-RAM, the
issue is still the same.

But maybe I did not explain it very well.

DVD-RAM can be written like a HD or an USB stick or such. As the
capacity is limited however, the backup has to be split like with normal
CDs or DVDs.

So for DVD-RAM to become a useable backup option, it has to be
recognized as such, (seems to be possible quite easily), then the
preparation ought to be done like for CD or DVD (erase medium if
necessary, split backup), but the actual writing has to be done
differently: mount, write, (verify,) unmount.
