I am also experiencing this issue, but I have ASUS X71A Notebook with
Intel Mobile 4 integrated series. I have changed my window manager to
Metacity and I get almost instant response, so it seems the bug is tied
down to so Compiz. I have removed most of the extras in compiz-config
and also applied rules to not include yakuake in running effects, but it
didn't help. I guess compiz isn't happy with the high speed resizing
motion of the dropping down yakuake.
