Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

After downloading the latest update for jaunty, including kernel update,
I restarted the PC.

But after restarting , I was greeted with a metacity window manager
instead of my default compiz window manager.

Trying to enable the Desktop Effect from Preferences - Appearance, but
it's not working

Trying to run compiz under terminal, I get this instead :

dedieko at dedieko-laptop:~$ compiz --replace
Checking for Xgl: not present.
xset q doesn't reveal the location of the log file. Using fallback /var/log/Xorg.0.log
