Oh, the other "problem" - and it certainly could be a problem is that
while the partition resizing is attempted, there is no "hour glass" or
indication that the program is still running and that the computer isn't
hung up.  A user could think the computer was frozen and try to stop the
resize, which would cause data loss and lost chains on the hard disk.  A
"wait" symbol with animation would be MOST helpful here.
