Bryce,

I have not tried with XAA yet, but since upgrading this laptop from
intrepid to jaunty last thursday (apr 1), I have had 3 similar freezes,
two with EXA and one with UXA; this was just the first one I was able to
report from this hardware.

Comment #2's intel version was 2:2.6.3-0ubuntu5; libdrm2 was and still
is at 2.4.5-0ubuntu4. and the kernel image was linux-
image-2.6.28-11-generic 2.6.28-11.40. The first EXA freeze I had
occurred with intel 2:2.6.3-0ubuntu4, libdrm2 2.4.5-0ubuntu3, and
generic kernel 2.6.28-11.39.

It's not easy for me to reproduce these freezes; they've come at 24+
hour intervals, and typical trigger behavior has been doing something in
firefox: scrolling, ticking the back arrow. Attempts to trigger the
freeze by putzing around with firefox don't work. :-(

This hardware was rock solid under intrepid's X, but that doesn't help
narrow down when these freezes were introduced.

Thanks.
