I'm sorry, I reported it wrong. It's not all nouveau fault, only
partially. Looks like no OpenGL support may be affecting flash, but the
overall system slowness is caused by another reason (probably bad
multitasking, as applications tend to take all CPU resources from time
to time).
I retested it with nvidia binary drivers. The xfwm4 with compositing
uses about the same CPU, compiz however uses much less CPU. Xfwm4
without compositing is barely usable with both drivers. With gtkperf
benchmark nvidia drivers are twice as fast as nouveau in some tests,
but in others they're almost the same.
