@all: I have just built xchat 2.8.6-2.1ubuntu4 on an AMD64 Jaunty up-to-
date, no errors.The Help/About has the following: Compiled: Mar 19 2009.
Looking at the ./debian/patches directory, I see
60_gtktype_removal.dpatch, which seems to do exactly what Jordan listed.
./debian/changelog has this entry:
xchat (2.8.6-2ubuntu2) jaunty; urgency=low
* Switch to GType to fix the build with the latest gtk versions.
- debian/patches/60_gtktype_removal.dpatch
- said to be fixed in CVS already.
