Ubuntu 8.10 - Fresh Install - Latest Updates

Package Version - BMPx 0.40.14-1 (Intrepid)

I turn the eq on. BMPx restart playback, equalize, sound is still the
same.  The equalizer is not working at all. Apart from that all is fine.
