Fixed upstream in version 2.0 and Confirmed Fixed by Me!

The method used was allow uppercase.

I doubt that this fix will be introduced to dapper or edgy since it requires introducing a brand new library to the system, (sdl pango). 
so if anyone is really really interested... i've built packages & they are being heavily tested right now. they should be available within the next 5 days @ http://mirror.randumb.org/darkmagez/repo/
