Depending on your requirements, GNUCash may be overkill. If you just want
to track your investments, a spread sheet with a graph should be more than
adequate. If you want more functionality, there are plenty of financial aps
for Ubuntu. Google Financial Aps Ubuntu and you'll get a long list.
I would, however, follow Raoul Snyman's advice!
