[ubuntu-za] 64 Bit Install

Nothing can go wrong go wrong go wrong go wrong .....
I did a practice install on my second machine. It was running (32 bit)
13.10 with separate partitions for root and home (and another hard driver
too).
The installation went like a dream - very quickly too because I was not
on-line.
But when I came to booting I got:
error symbol 'grub_term_highlight_color' not found
Entering rescue mode
grub-rescue >
Which extremely informative message I looked up and found that it meant
that Grub 2 was a bust gogga. It is a registered bug and a number of those
commenting on it said that they too had been going from 32 to 64 bit.
I re-installed Grub with the help of SuperGrub and now have a 14.04 system
running ...
Except for my home directory problem which I will post separately to avoid
Subject confusion.
Thanks all,
Bill
