Ok... go to a terminal window (ctrl-alt-T)
The type
sudo apt-get update
Type your pasword at the promt
Wait a few minutes for the update to complete then type. The next line
sudo apt-get upgrade
You should be promted to intall untrusted aplications...type "y" and enter
It should update.
The graphical warning window should have an option button to continue.
