I received a mail from Brian Moffatt via launchpad. He is considering
moving his company to ubuntu but he needs support. He is willing to pay.
Does anyone know of people doing ubuntu support locally? See his mail below
and contact him directly if you know someone who can help him out, please.

 Dear Maia

Thank you for responding

If you could ask if there are companies that offer support for small to
medium businesses that would be great
I have tried to get the scanning function to work without success
My technical ability dose not go that far

I have spoken to a company today but they only service the larger
businesses and cannot assist us

We can only consider moving to Ubuntu if we can be sure of cost effective
support

Best regards

Brian Moffatt

Hi Brian

I am the contact for the ubuntu local community in South Africa. We are a
bunch of enthusiasts who share our support for ubuntu in the local
community. We do not offer support for companies as we aren't a business
but rather a local community of people who have other day jobs. That being
said, there may be someone in the community who will be able to help you.

We have a mailing list which we use for communication. If it's ok with
you, I can put your request on the mailing list and there may be someone
who can help you to do support. Alternatively you can join the mailing list
and put your request on there. The list email is ubuntu-za at lists.ubuntu.com but
you will have to joint the list to be able to post there. You can also try
to use the http://askubuntu.com avenue, perhaps your question has already
been answered.

Canonical also provides support, I am not sure how that works. Here is the
link: http://www.ubuntu.com/business/services
